The Discipleship Training School (DTS)

What is a Disciple?

"Disciple" - A term used to describe the 12 who walked alongside of Jesus; a disciple must learn, mature, and engage in deep fellowship with Him. If you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, you are desiring a deeper relationship with Him. If you desire to mature and learn, then the Discipleship Training School is just the place for you.

What is a DTS?

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is designed to prepare you to be a more effective messenger of the gospel through a growing relationship with God. We are more interested in you developing a consistent walk with God than merely accumulating information. The program consists of three months of classroom training (lecture phase) and two months of hands on application (outreach phase.) After the successful completion of a DTS, students may begin phase 2, the School of Biblical Foundations.

Cost and Dates

Our next DTS will be: September 20, 2009 to March 5, 2010
School cost: $3,200.00 USD
Cost includes: tuition, room and board during the lecture phase.

Outreach cost: $1,800.00 - $2,600.00 USD depending on location. Both the tuition and outreach expenses are required to be paid in full before leaving on outreach.

The Outreach Phase

Each year we as a staff seek the Lord as to the outreach location. Through the years we have seen how the Lord has directed us and has brought us back to some of the same locations. We have mainly been targeting Southeast Asia and Muslim countries. There is a wide door of opportunity open to you. You could be ministering in remote mountain villages or amidst the hustle and bustle of a major city. You could be doing hardcore evangelism, drama, and church services or building relationships with the locals. Only God knows what He has in store for you.

Upon completion of DTS you will find that there are many ways to become involved in fulfilling the call that God has for you. You will receive 22 credits through the University of the Nations that you will be able to use to pursue a degree of your choice. You will also be eligible to pursue all the different YWAM courses and staff opportunities offered throughout the world, or you can take back the new insight that you have received to your church, co-workers, and friends.
